Rothesay

• Rothesay, a son of Fastnet Rock and out of a Woodman daughter of Canny Lad’s full sister Canny Lass, won four of his nine career starts including the Group 2 BRC Queensland Guineas, Group 3 Lord Mayor's Cup and was runner-up to More Joyous in the Group 2 STC Sebring Stakes at Rosehill.
• Trainer Gerald Ryan has controlled several outstanding racehorses who went on to become successful sires, including Snitzel and Hurricane Sky, but believes Rothesay has more potential than any other. “There is no question he had the potential to be the best horse I have ever trained and his scope as far as future racetrack performances to come was enormous. He has a terrific frame, is very athletic, has a great attitude and I am sure he has everything it takes to make a really top-class sire.”
